For months, TD Canada Trust has been offering the TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite card with a 30K Aeroplan bonus--15K upon approval and 15K upon spending $1K in 3 months, but for some reason, they are currently offering 35K--15K upon approval and 20K upon spending $1K in 3 months, instead of 15K.
The card offers other great benefits which are unusual, probably because Aeroplan is getting swallowed up by Air Canada again next year, because of the uncertainty and many people being frustrated with the lack of Aeroplan availability for flights without paying massive fuel surcharges or ridiculous taxes flying out of Pearson.
Anyway, if you haven't yet applied, apply through this link or the one embedded into the Visa pic at the top (I'm not getting anything for it). It may be gone by tomorrow!
If you HAVE applied call TD Easyline and speak to their credit services dept. If you get someone like I got tonight, he'll go speak to a supervisor (the second supervisor approved the extra 5K to post to my account in a few days).
The offer is the same--trip cancellation, yadda yadda, but this Infinite Visa includes a free checked piece of luggage on all Aeroplan bookings!! It also includes priority check in! This is highly unusual for a card with a $120 annual fee (only being charged next year as it's waived the first year).
